Common questions

Which iPhones does Rise work on?

Any iPhone with iOS 17 or later (iPhone XS, XR or newer). Rise works without an internet connection.

Where is my reading history kept?

Only on your iPhone. Rise has no accounts and doesn’t sync between devices, so an iPad keeps its own separate history. See the privacy policy.

Will I lose my history if I get a new iPhone?

Not if you move to the new phone with Quick Start, or restore it from an iCloud or computer backup. If you set it up as a new iPhone, or delete Rise, your history is lost.

How do I add the widgets?

Touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, tap Edit ▸ Add Widget, and choose Rise. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise ▸ Lock Screen, then add a Rise widget.
